Account Information: When you sign up, we collect your name, work email address, company name, and password (stored encrypted). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google's OAuth service.
Company & Employee Data: Admins may upload information about their company and employees, including names, email addresses, and department information, to operate the platform.
Usage Data: We collect data about how you use the platform — pages visited, Buzz Bursts sent, emails opened, links clicked, and points earned — to operate the leaderboard and engagement features.
Payment Information: Billing is processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details. We retain records of your subscription status and billing history.
Profile Photos: If you upload a profile photo, it is stored securely via Vercel Blob storage.
Analytics: We use Vercel Analytics and Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymized data about site traffic and user behavior (pages viewed, session duration, referral source). This data does not personally identify you.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data to serve you third-party advertisements.
By joining Buzz 52, employees consent to receive Buzz Burst notification emails sent by their company's admin through our platform. These are operational emails related to the service your employer has enrolled you in.
Employees may contact their company admin or reach us at greyman@a52.io to be removed from communications.
We use SendGrid to deliver emails. SendGrid processes email addresses on our behalf under their own privacy and data processing policies.
We share data only with the service providers necessary to operate Buzz 52:
Each of these providers operates under their own privacy policies and data processing agreements. We do not share personal information with any other third parties unless required by law.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is removed from our systems. Company data is retained for 30 days after account closure before permanent deletion, to allow for any disputes or recovery requests.
Anonymized, aggregated analytics data may be retained indefinitely.
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), encrypted password storage (bcrypt), JWT-based authentication, and role-based access controls. Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe and is never stored on our servers.
No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your Buzz 52 account.
